Basant Bandana

Basant Bandana was a special musical project presented by Sayan Ghosh Academy in 2024, celebrating the spirit of spring through Indian Classical Music and Rabindra Sangeet.

A total of 16 eligible and talented students from India and the USA participated in this project, which was conducted under the guidance of Sri Sayan Ghosh. The entire direction, concept, and design were envisioned and executed by Sayan Ghosh himself.

The musical presentation featured Raag Bahar along with a selection of Rabindra Sangeet compositions including Anandaloke Mangalaloke, Ay Tobe Sahachari, and Phule Phule Dhole Dhole. The music arrangement for all compositions was also done by Sayan Ghosh.

The students dedicated themselves to an intensive four-month rehearsal process, receiving continuous guidance and artistic direction throughout. Their commitment and teamwork culminated in a remarkable performance that showcased the academy’s collective talent and devotion to music.

Basant Bandana stands as one of the most significant accomplishments of Sayan Ghosh Academy, symbolizing the fusion of tradition, creativity, and collaboration that defines the institution’s musical philosophy.

Raaga Avvyas – Where Students Find Their Voice

Raaga Avvyas is an initiative by Sayan Ghosh, created with the vision of giving students a platform to express their musical learning. Through this open YouTube platform, students of Sayan Ghosh Academy perform raaga-based compositions and share their performances with a wider audience.

In many large academies, students often do not receive the visibility and recognition they truly deserve. With Raaga Avvyas, Sayan Ghosh bridges that gap — offering each learner a chance to be seen, appreciated, and inspired. This initiative not only nurtures performance confidence but also builds a collective archive of student growth, musical discipline, and devotion to the art of Indian classical music.
