Yet love remains, a gentle thread that binds the soul in peace.
Within the chasm deep and vast, we all shall fade away,
And in the hollow grip of fate, hope alone shall stay.
Bones of being turn to mist, where mocking voices die,
No sting remains, no biting words beneath the endless sky.
Neither I nor you endure, nor names the world has spun,
Not honor, nor its shadowed twin—disgrace, now come undone.

सयन घोष
ऊँचाई छूता वटवृक्ष, फिर शीश झुकाता धूलि,
लहराते केश जो स्वच्छंद, अब बिखरे नीरव शूल।
गर्व चूर्ण, सम्मान म्लान, बस गूँजते कुछ पल,
गौरव जलता, बुझता फिर—राख हुई वह जल।
कालचक्र की तीव्र गति, प्रताप क्षीण हो जाए,
पर प्रेम रहे अविचल सदा, मन में दीप जलाए।
इस अनंत अंधकार में हम सब विलय हो जाएँ,
और बीते दुःख के पथ पर आशा ही रह जाए।
अस्तित्व की अस्थियाँ भी धूल में समा जाएँगी,
कटाक्ष और कठोर वचन भी मौन हो जाएँगे।
न मैं रहूँ, न तुम रहो, न रहेंगे नाम महान,
न मान बचेगा, न ही अपमान।
